Tommy Smith: QPR are ready for Premier League

QPR striker Tommy Smith believes his side have proved they are ready for the Premier League.

The Hoops’ 19-match unbeaten run ended on a Friday night collapse against Watford on the BBC in December.

And they could only draw against Nottingham Forest on Sky last month.

But Tommy Smith claims their confidence in front of the cameras is a sign they are ready for the top flight.

He said: “The Sheffield United match put us in the ideal position to show everyone we’re not nervous and relishing our position.”

Rangers are three wins from promotion and Smith added boss Neil Warnock has said they can do what they like – as long as they keep posting victories.

“Ever since I joined there has been no pressure from the manager and I have loved it,” said Smith.
