QPR's Adel Taarabt is hopeful of making a summer move to Arsenal, despite having played his first football on English soil for their bitterest rivals Spurs.
Taarabt is said to be determined to join one of the Premier League's biggest clubs ahead of next season - regardless of the outcome of Rangers' push for promotion to the top flight this season.
The former Tottenham playmaker has been one of QPR's shining lights in the Championship this season, and was awarded the division's player of the year prize last month.
But Taarabt, 21, is still said to be growing restless - and wants to play on the biggest stage as soon as possible, with Arsenal the club he has apparently picked out above Manchester United, Liverpool, and even old club Spurs.
According to recent reports, he could be available for as little as £5million - putting him well within notoriously frugal Arsene Wenger's price range.
Earlier this season, Taarabt caused a stir by admitting he regretted signing for the White Hart Lane club in 2007 - and said he wished he had taken up an option to join the Gunners.
'I would have had a better chance at Arsenal. It was a mistake [joining Spurs]. I would progress with Arsene Wenger because he is one of the best managers in the world,' he said.
'I like the way Arsenal play. If Arsenal come, of course, I'll be very happy.'
