Queens Park Rangers are increasingly confident of avoiding a points deduction in the Alejandro Faurlin affair and privately believe some charges may be dropped before the case is heard on 3 May.
Rangers are convinced they can prove no rules have been broken but will admit that agent Peppino Tirri was not licensed by the FA when the deal was done in 2009. That is likely to see them only fined, which would not affect their promotion bid.
