Neil Warnock runs the rule over potential new signing

QPR are understood to have handed a trial to Australian defender Michael Marrone.

The right-back, who plays for A-League side Melbourne Heart, is believed to have been the trialist in action for Rangers in a reserve fixture against Fulham this afternoon.

Boss Neil Warnock saw a strong second string, featuring Danny Shittu, Matt Connolly, Lee Cook, Martin Rowlands, Akos Buzsaky and Rob Hulse, play out a goalless draw with their west London neighbours at Harlington.
